Due to the accelerated climate change, torrential rains, storms and blizzards are occurring more and more often in many parts of the globe. One of the causes that contribute to these phenomena is undoubtedly plastic pollution. Created from 200 recycled plastic bottles, ICY WILLOW points to one of those severe weather disturbances – the freezing rain. While creating incredibly beautiful images of the environment, freezing rain can cause significant damage to both humans and Nature. ICY WILLOW was inspired by the freezing rain that occurred on January 2019 in southern Romania.
