Bio: Christopher D. Sims, born and raised in Rockford, Illinois, is a poet, performance artist, and environmental justice activist. In his work he seeks to tell stories, define his surroundings, address tough issues, and entertain the masses. He has been writing and exploring the environment since he was nine years old. He is a 2019 fellow of the Intercultural Leadership Institute and co-producer of the online platform Black Poet Matters: A Poetic Soundtrack For The Times.
