Bio: Meri Rose Ekberg is a cultural production consultant based in Madison, WI. She believes in the power of art to form community connection through self expression, collaboration and dialogue. As an independent contractor and consultant she administrates a variety of arts projects including collection management, event planning, exhibition coordinating and web design. In 2017 she received a Masters in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that in 2014 she completed a Masters in Art History, Theory and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelors in Sculpture and Art History from Western Washington University. Experience in sculpture, art history and library and information studies creates a well-balanced working practice of theory and practicality that allows her to think critically, act efficiently and create exemplary arts events that bring people together.
