We created this work with the idea that communities have the power to change the systems around them that are perpetuating climate change and the consumption of the Earth’s resources. Wheat serves as a symbol of mass agriculture and the issues with this, but also as a reminder that individuals do have the power to change this. Wheat does not die during the winter, it remains dormant, a continuously persevering organism.
