Everything Melts, Video and Image Collage, 2021
This piece is about accessing a place of rest, care, and comfort in the body as a way to process traumatic events that are happening around the globe; global warming, COVID pandemic, political turmoil, ect. The work proposes that from this place of rest, re-adjustment becomes possible. In Everything Melts we see a character, us, contemplating their values, distractions, and relationships as they wonder what to let go of and what to keep around; we are in a space between decisiveness, this piece attempts to reflect that.
